BiographyMy mother passed away from leukemia CLL in 2006. Ever since them I am so interested in helping raise awareness, putting faces to cancer, and to learn as much about this nasty disease as I can. Plus it is so uplifting to read these blogs of people that are fighting.. Very humbling, touching. Fundraising Descriptionhttp://main.acsevents.org/goto/teamduve Comments: |
Zoey,
What is humbling and touching is the selfless, compassionate people like you who show kindness and concern towards others. I pray for God’s richest blessings to come your way.
Thank you for the prayer, hope all is well and continues that way for you. I think at the moment I will go for the ld flap. Thank you for the info.
~~~Hi Cheryl, good to hear from you.
I don’t know alot about medications, but maybe ask your hospice nurse, your pharmacy or call your clinic that has treated you and ask them what they think about your side effects. Maybe they could offer… I dont know lorezapam to calm the nerves, or upping one pill and lowering another, it might be the perfect concoction needed? Explain to them that your brain is a little foggy at this time, and that it is really important that you take advantage of your time left. Pharmacys are very knowledged, maybe ask your husband to write it down and call for you? You can never ask silly questions..More knowledge the better (for us all)
Hugs & prayers. You are an amazing woman, strong, and a blessing to know. Thanks for sharing
Hello Zoey, it’s also good to hear from you. I’m sure you have read that we did get the pills straighten out, as least for now. Thank you for caring and for your support it means so much.
Take care of yourself, the world needs more people like you!
Love and hugs, Cheryl~~~
Hey Zoey! I take it Henry Ford is where your Mom went? I ended up at Providence in Southfield and feel so blessed for having been able to make that connection. I really wish I were still there…
By the way the red boxes with the x is an indication that possibly you hit “ENTER” too many times in a paragraph when you did your profile page. It indicates that there is more text to be viewed and in reality it is just a space in between your sentences. Go back in and make sure you have proper spacing in your paragrah and they should disappear. They other cause would be that you have attempted to insert a picture and it has followed the wrong path. It could also be a tracking gif., but unlikely. Hope this helps!
I will try to insert one here ans see what happens Maybe nothing, but I am curious myself as rto why these pop up everywhere. I guess it could be ones browser settings as well.
& hellip is an html entity.(computer stuff). It most often appears after someone post a three dot series. Such as (dot dot dot).
Example of such would be——
“I thought about it ( dot dot dot)..... and, well….( “&hellip” would appear after this 3 dot series.
Thank you so much for your kind wishes (and hugs!)Right back at you!
Zoey,
Thanks for the prayer and the welcome. I’m so sorry about your mom and I’m sure she is proud of you for taking your time to encourage other cancer patients. So, what’s your kitty’s name?
Many hugs back to you up north! You keep on keepin on
;)
Annette,
Thanks for comment, that was really kind of you! I was in my late 20’s when my mom passed. Being the youngest, it was hard..losing my mom who was like you, there whenever/wherever. It was sad seeing my neices, dad, and other siblings crying and trying to gasp at what happend. But, I look at it that I was lucky to have my mom for so long, (27 yrs). Some do not even get a chance to know their mom’s or dad.
My mom’s mom, passed away from cancer when she was 14. The “fight” of cancer we were battling made the family bond stronger, and made us realize life is very precious. We all adjusted to what happended ok, I guess. I started doing the Relay for life in memory of mom, and my family joined in too. It’s a healthy way to join people around the world in celebrating those who have survived cancer, remembering the people we’ve lost. We are still trying to kick cancer’s butt,lol
Enough about me, sorry for ranting on! You sound like a awesome mom, and your family is real lucky. Its great that your family get’s to see your words blogged..courage, strength, love, and determination you have. How you have handled the fight of cancer, sets a good example for your loved ones whatever the future holds!
Big hug and prayer coming from Michigan.
Hi Zoey,
your profile touched me, as i am a mother of three children and have been battling colorectal cancer since 8/06. the hardest thing about this disease for me is how it has affected my children. although they are all in their 20s they are still used to a mom that was always ready to go whenever/wherever. they have said they just want their old mom back, and i am sure you know what that feels like. i am inspired by your courage and strength to stay with the fight against cancer, and the heart it takes to support others.
you are amazing!
Hello Zoey,
It goes without saying that offending anyone was not my intention. In response though I will say that the government cannot save the US Auto industry. Foreign automaker have been making a better product at a lower cost for a long time. 2 friends of mine just used the cash for clunkers deal to buy Hondas, they didnt even bother shopping American. Im sure they are not alone. Government should only regulate business, not intervene. Businesses succeed and fail, that is the USA. My idea to give money to cancer patients and survivors is a good one because it puts money in the hands of people, who because of their experience fighting a terrible disease, are likely to spend it in a much better way than otherwise failing auto dealers and auto makers. So dont be offended, instead be objective. Cash for clunkers is only delaying the inevitable. If the government is going to give money away, they should do it where it will have the most impact for all citizens.
Take care,
Carlos
Thank you, I just wondered if hellip was a symptom people had that went along with this type of cancer… because if you read others story on how they finally noticed something i thought that was a sign? Wanted to know if this is something i should watch out for, since I will soon be having the genetic test done since every woman on my mothers side has passed away from cancer. Check out my personal team page for ACS http://main.acsevents.org/goto/teamduve
Hi Zoey
I am not sure what hellip means. I think it just shows up on some of the blogs and why it does I can’t answer that. Thanks for the prayer for my niece. If there is anything else I can answer for you please ask.
