User InformationBiographyHello from vacationland. I was diagnosed Dec06 with invasive squamous cell CA of the anal canal SII TII. My treatment consisted of 34 grueling and barbaric radiation treatments that burned the skin off my entire pubic/perineal area along with 2 rounds of 5fu/mitomycin c. I am 15 months cancer free, YIPEE! Unfortunately I have progressive and permanent damage to my entire perineal area, something called vascular obliteration and suffer from painful gluts, groin and upper leg muscles along with other “issues”, however I feel blessed that I continue to remain free from this beast called cancer. Trying to connect with others who have the same or similar diagnosis has proven to be a lesson in futility. I have learned so much during my journey and I am willing to share all I learned with others just setting off on their journey through cancer treatment and recovery.
