Tonsil Cancer Symptoms:

Enlarged lymph node on the right side of the neck. Wouldn’t respond to anti-biotics. Was biopsied and found to positive for metastic squamous cell carcinoma.

Tonsilectomy and Right modified neck dissection 10/12/2011.

Radiation or Proton Therapy Description, Dates & Side Effects:

IMRT 11/28/2011 – 01/10/2012
Supplemental radiation given 1/25/2012-1/27/2012
Side effects: Xerostomia, lost of taste, pain, difficulty swallowing.

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects:

Cisplatin. Lots of nausea. Some hair loss.

Biography

I’m a born-again Christian, husband, and father of three beautiful girls. My hobbies are working out, karate, reading and computers. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Tonsil Cancer (Squamous Cell Carcinoma HPV+) in September 2011. Following my tonsillectomy and right neck dissection, I was also diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer (unrelated to the primary cancer).

Cancer Symptoms
