Hi Rick!

How are you doing? I have been in the hospital 18 days this month and I am only home for 2 days then going back for more surgery to move my ostomy. The one I have broke down.
Haven’t seen you post though! Are you doing better? Staying positive? Keep on touch! Jeanee

Rick,
Thanks for the comment. I hope things are going well for you..Know that you are in my prayers daily!

God Bless
Eva

I can relate to what you’re saying in such a profound way. Rad. oncologist wanted to hosp. me for entire tx but refuse. Not rying to be funny but I looked like one of those red-a—baboons and to say the pain was bad is an understatment. Hid did give me so many stronp pain meds but as soon a s tx over -took over 3 months to do what shd have been 5 wks. (so bad reactions) sent me to pain mgmt MD that i personally was (sorta) friends with but knew his philosphy all to well cold turkey and bite the bullet. Just as expected..he forgot that we walked up and down the hsop. halls discussing his outrage at MDs who gave pain meds to pts. As expected, took me off all -neurotin – his cuse-all. Drove me nuts..after 3 mths of heavy painmeds, (new to me ) and even tho a nurse manager for 30+ yrs..teaaching/ practing in all areas as well..did’t know what withdrawal was, didn’t resog, S & S. Bad time of it. Still residual rogressive neuroathy from Eloxatin (Chemo) wasn’t told by Onco. Let me accuse Rad. because had such horrible reactions. Then read about Elox. and confronted Onc. He now admits. Wish I had some hints for handling after-effects but please hang in there. So trying and very hard but don’t give up your fight. Apparently advances made so often, px is I feel new Health Care Plan proposed almost says “if your in your 60s…please move on to hospice and let the younger thrive.” Do they not have older parents/ lovd ones or expect to ever get where some of us are now. Hope you get the best med. has to offer. janbd

Thank you for the comment. I am going into to this fight with God right there with me. I have not quit praying and will continue to do so forever. All things are possible with God on our side. Thank you for the words of encouragemant and I will add you also in my prayers.

Thanks for responding Rick!
I am actually in Dallas. There are grest surgical and oncology centers here too, but I was battling with myself as to wheter or not I should contact Anderson for treatment recomendations because they are considered #1 in the country. I’ve pretty much made up my mind to go forward with the scheduled surgery here at Baylor Plano. Once it is staged I will cross the next bridge and decide if I want to consult with Anderson regarding treatment options. My understanding is that they can give orders or regimen recs to the Plano/Dallas oncology centers.

I will pray for your complete recovery.
