Biography

Mom of two boys—-going through second cancer diagnosis of 2010. Was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in Feb 2010, went through radical hyst—completely clear, diagnosed with IDC in July 2010. Doc indicates chemo/radiation. Struggled with my diagnosis but feeling a little better now that I am on the path to treatment. 2010 has turned out to be a crap year—looking forward to 2011 and beyond!

Cancer Symptoms

Breast: Found lump in right breast—Doc couldn’t feel it but was caught on Ultrasound. Some discomfort on right breast.
Cervical:Lower back pain and discharge

Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects

Radical Hyst—May 10th
Partial Masectomy, Sentinel Node Biopsy—July 19th

Radiation or Proton Therapy Description, Dates & Side Effects

Met with Radiation Doc on Aug 5th. Treatment plan is 25 radiation + 3 boosters—approximate start date in January 2011 but will meet him in November to decide. Finished radiation Feb 18/2011

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects

Protocol: FEC-T (4 months/every 3 weeks)
FEC-T :Epirubicin/Fluorouracil/Cyclophosphamide cycles 1-3, then add Docetaxel for cycles 4-6
Finished chemo November 24/2010

Hormone Therapy Description, Dates & Side Effects

Tamoxifen after completion of chemo/radiation—duration: 5 years. I am already in quasi-menopause due to rad hysterectomy but will get forced completely in with start of Tamoxifen.
