Mayday's Profile Page
I live on the outskirts of London with my partner our 14 year old daughter, 2 cats, 3 guinea pigs and 1 hamster. Used to manage social care projects then started an M.Sc in social work when the bombshell of anal cancer struck and I dropped out (wouldn't have been able to carry on through treatment). Now pretty aimless, not much to think about apart from this wretched disease. Used to love drama, theatre, singing.
Originally 2 small hard lumps on the verge of the anus - itchy No blood, no constipation, no pain. Left for 1 year by medical profession. Since biopsy have grown and bleed and hurt. Inguinal lymph node swollen

Mayday, hoping that you are still doing well...Somehow I missed your birthday on Thursday, but here's to your unbirthday today!
Omg I love your puppy....we has to put our 13 yr old dog penny to sleep right before I started treatment. I miss her so much. My son wants a puppy so much and so do my husband and me. I just need to feel better first. Is he a cocker spatial. What's his name? Can I ask you since you were 3b were your lymph nodes were. Did you have a lot of them. I am three weeks post radiation and I am still so tired and weak. How ere you then? I just felt a calm when I came to your page today.....can't wait to hear back from you😊hugs Cindy
Hi Mayday, I hadn't seen posts from you in a while and just wanted to let you know that I've been thinking of you and hoping that all is well! Stephanie
Thank you for your comment! I am sure there are weak points in any system...I never had a really serious disease whilst in Spain, although I did have my bronchiectasis diagnosed there. Sadly breast cancer is so much more widespread now I am sure that treatment for that is becoming standard...if a cancer like anal cancer is of very low incidence then few if any doctors will be expert in its detection or treatment... Hope you are doing better every day - or if that's not realistic, the trajectory is upwards!
Hi Mayday... I am sure that my friend in Spain will have fine treatment..I had excellent medical care the four years that I lived there../ Hope you are well into recovery...
Don't mind me--I just noticed I did comment on your first post--it's too early in the day for me, I guess!
