Colostomy

Chemotherapy:
Cisplatin (Platinol, Platinol-AQ)

What I Hate Most About Cancer:
What it takes from the person physically

What I Have Learned From Cancer:
It can't break spirits and can't break senses of humor. It doesn't take a hint that no one wants it around, and it needs a De-Friend / Block / Delete button

Things My Supporters Can Do To Help:
Listen, pray, keep hoping and fighting

Cancer Drugs Positives & Negatives:
Negatives: Chemo can really knock her on her butt. Positives: Those are usually few and far between. Usually 1-2 days between 21-day rounds.

Colon and Rectal Cancer Symptoms:

Irregular bowels/constipation. Feeling of “sitting on something.” ***Weight loss***

Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects:

Emergency colostomy on 9/11/09. No real side effects other than the basic lifestyle changes that a colostomy can bring.

Radiation or Proton Therapy Description, Dates & Side Effects:

10/15/09 – 1/6/10. Intense pain from December 09 through April 10.

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects:

10/15/09 – 1/6/10 (roughly). No huge effects. Some light fatigue and nausea. 11/1/10 – 2/28/11. Extreme fatigue, some nausea and vomiting. Kidney failure resulting in dialysis (November 11)
