50 Year-Young – Sales & Marketing Manager
Diagnosed with Stage IVb Esophogeal Cancer that had metastasized and spread to my liver and lymph nodes.
This is an extremely rare form of cancer that affects approx. 15,000 people annually in the U.S.
So rare in fact…it is not even listed as a category below in the drop-down box for the profile question “Type of Cancer”. Therefore, there is no treatment per se.
I researched anti-cancer supplements. While getting 240 hours of DCF Chemo, I also took 17 supplements daily (against doctor’s orders). I will begin Selective Internal Radiation Therapy on my liver as well as continuing with the chemotherapy and supplements.
Cancer Symptoms
Abdominal and Back Pain.

hi, this nice lady referred me to you for some knowledge about SIRT. I am about to have this done to my liver and want to know how you felt afterward? I have just had my shunt study and my hepatic arteries to my stomach have been blocked. since this was done last friday my stomach has felt tight. Did you feel this afterward?
Larry;
Thanks for responding so quickly. Does that mean you will be in hospital for let’s say a day each time they do the infusion? Thank god you will be sedated. Give em high fives and ask for a fully loaded upper. You deserve atleast that. You are so strong, you make my head spin. For a guy, and I mean this, usually they don’t like to talk medical or anything close to it. I’m glad you take a keen interest in what they are doing for you and to you. Most wouldn’t want any knowledge but you seem to want to be part of it. Good for you, I wish more men were like you. Good luck and keep us posted.
Haven’t seen any posts from you lately. I do understand why. I am saying BIG TIME prayers for you my friend that you get your NED once again. When you feel up to, please let us know how you are doing.
Hey Larry,
Thanks for your order. Hope you enjoy it?? I know that sounds crazy, but like everyone on this blog, we need humor to survivor, right??
Thanks again,
Sandy
Im with you all the way…If you learn about anything new, let me know so I can add it to my list of things to do…Yesterday I learned that all products made from flour or refined sugar should be avoided.
Larry—
Thank you so much for your kind words. I still can’t believe it’s been a year since I began my treatment. I would say I’ve had better years, but I’m not so sure this wasn’t the best year of my life, as I’m still here and no evidence of disease! Besides, I’ve met all kinds of wonderful, caring people such as you! You are truly an inspiration. May God Bless.

Larry,
Nice to know there are stubborn SOB’s like myself in these fights. Congrats on the cancer free!
Larry-
Congratulation, great news from another survivor.
If you’re “Weather beaten” you’ve spent to much time at the beach! LOL

Thanks for responding to my concerns…Okay…I feel much, much better about your decision. I didn’t understand that the maintenance chemo would exclude you from returning to the original that helped you! Thanks for explaining. So for whatever it’s worth…you’ve got my vote here. And of course, all of my prayers and support!

OMG! I feel so stupid about the 11 G-kids. I know, I’ll blame it on chemo brain. There ya go. I feel much better now.

Love & hugs,
Sonia
Hey Larry,
I have 11 grandkids. two love basketball, one golf, one baseball, two football. Then there is one who loves & exceeds in all. He has enrolled at Va. Tech for this sept, but won’t play on their football team till Sept’10. His big love is baseball, like you.
You are just starting out on this cancer game, but hang in there. The bases aren’t loaded yet
