Biography

At 31, breast cancer. We were about to start trying to start a family again. I’d just recovered from a manic episode, discovering that I had bipolar type I disorder. My 30’s have been a medical education, one mental, one physical; both different and difficult. I’ve been through menopause during the chemotherapy, Taxotere and A/C, my cycles returned 6 months after the end of chemotherapy.

I’ve hit my 2 year cancer diagnosis anniversary with no reoccurrence. Now at 34 we are trying again. I hope my eggs are still viable. I know we’ll have kids in our lives in some way.

I’ve started a business, Slice of Fashion LLC, to bring fun and fashion to people with chronic ailments. I developed lymphedema in my arm from all the treatments. The first product is a fashionable arm cover to dress up compression garments. I found that a little flair each day can improve my attitude in living with my chronic ailments.
