User InformationBiographyMy Sweetie India (11 yr old) was diagnosis with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia -”ALL” T-cell on July 16th. We were blown away with the diagnosis. She had been going to her primary doctor two weeks prior for vomiting. They believed she was allergic to some type of preservative found in poultry. After a vomiting episode the day before we were to go on vacation, she just didn’t look right. I couldn’t wait to call her primary the next morning, so I took her to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. After blood was drawn, her WBC came back at 175,000. Our world had changed! India is now in remission and has been going through chemo for the past 5 months. Not an easy road to travel, but with the support of family and friends it has made this trip easier. India is looking forward to entering the maintenance stage which will begin in March 2008.
