It was good to see your message to me when I got home today. This week was extra hard…scans, yuck! then chemo Yuck! then missed my flight and had to stay an extra night YUCK! Got home this afternoon and am not feeling well. Think I may have an infection from my daily shots in my stomach…just don’t know. Sitting here with a heating pad and it is feeling better. Planning on being a complete sloth this weekend.
THanks for your thoughts and prayers,,,they mean a lot to me sweetheart!

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for your advice and kind words. I like your idea of thinking smaller…in hours. Everyones response was so nice. I’m usually not so down but I think it was a long week. I am very thankful for everyday. This cancer life has brought us closer together. It was comforting to read your cheerful email. I felt bad after I wrote it but it was nice that no one judged me. I will take your advice “life is short laugh a lot” :-) I’m praying you are feeling well. Tammy
Southern Granny,
Maybe you should read my posts…None of those words I wrote had any of those things you read into them. TMay is someone who sports my sense of humor…which is what got me though my cancer and will get her through hers. We all suffer. We all cry. We all hope. We all dream. But, though all of those things I had an attitude laced with a sense of humor…So does TMay. She understands my language and spits it right back to me. We are past letting words touch our souls when our bodies scream for mercy. I have not read your posts either,but I will. You can learn alot about a person by the way they write their words…You either cry with them or encourage them and sometimes you find someone who thinks and writes like you…with those you know your limits…I hope you are doing well and am looking forward to reading your posts.
Hi Sandy,
Thanks for the welcoming note. It’s nice to know that I have found a blog with empathetic and caring members.
I read your blog and it sounds like you’ve been through a lot yourself. I will keep you in my prayers.

~~~~Cheryl,
It’s times like this, that the ole saying “Life’s a Bitch” really hits home. Your choices, “Sleep or Pain” are really no choices at all. I truly wish I had a magic potion that would help you. At this point, I don’t smoke, but I would be eating “pot” brownies. Anything that helps is worth a try.
My prays, my hugs & my love is with you,
Sandy~~~~
~~~~reply~~~~
Sandy sorry it’s taken me a bit to respond to you. I love this post. You my dear have been such a huge supporter of mine. You amaze me. I had to laugh at “Life a Bitch” and then you die as I have said that through out the years. I’ve not ever had a pot brownie but I sure as hell would like to try one. Just let me say…your my kind of granny! LOL
Love you and I send back to you everything you have sent to me times 10 sweetie.
Big hugs, Cheryl~~~~
Hey Girl:
How was the lake and are you really officially 70 now? No way could one as young at heart be 70! HA! You’re just too immature!
Thanks for the note and let me know how the trip went…know you’re getting ready for the big shindig! How I wish I could come.
Hugs
Teresa
Thank you for the note…. ((hugs)) Yes, my book is complete and I have started a book on my Cancer Journey… Not sure if I will ever finish it… It’s called ….. SOUL-O-ING
your comment was hilarious. I have learned to ask the nurses & other patients anything I want to know I know i will at least get a straight answer.
I have also learned a lot on my own from the internet. At first when I was diagnosed I was too scared to ask the Dr. s anything & blindly accepted what they told me. Now I ask everything &what they tell me I look up on the computer to make sure. lol thanks for you comment it’s nice to have a little humor on here.
Hey Sandy…
Going down to MDA the 29th and staying till July 3rd. I’m staying as an out patient…so if you want to call in the evening it’s best on my cell 512-461-9246. I’m not in the hospital. It is a HUGE place there…but I’m excited to see how this new treatment works.
How was your Hoedown? Want to hear about it>>>>
Take care and hugs…your prayers mean so much to me!
Teresa
Happy Monday! NOT! Anywho…I’m schlepping down to Houston on Wednesday to MD Anderson to see Dr. Kumat, My lovely indian Doctor. Wish me luck…Looking forward to some action here.
You’re right…I’ve fired the doctor here. Hope to only see him for minor things here.
Your hoedown sounds like heaven up there in the mountains. I’m such a mountain girl. Miss those wet misty mornings.
Let me know how it goes.

Sandy:

Sandy:
Thanks for the notes of encouragement! Hey where can I get your book? Is it out in stores yet? Let me know when it’s available.
I doing fine today. Yesterday the chemo went well with a little help of my anti anxiety medicine, I actually dosed a little for the first time ever!
I just need to take it easy the next 4 or so days and keep slathering on lotion on my hands and feet. Izzie the pup is keeping me busy and great company.
Hugs to you girl!

Hi Sandy,
I appreciate having a chance to meet you. Thank you for posting a comment on my blog, I am so glad life gives us this chance now to meet . . . . You have been through a lot . . . I can only begin to image what you have experienced, felt.
It means so much to me that you reached out and took time to say hello to me. I look forward to learning about you and your journey. Best wishes always, Frank
Sandy:
You sweet thing! I’m okay…got through the scan and won’t hear the results until Monday when I see the Doctor and have more flower chemo. I’m not looking forward to hearing the news cause I’ve never gotten any good news since all of this happened.
I did think of another funny blog while laying on the scan table though…will probably work on it tonight…
Gotta keep on laughing right?
Thanks for your prayers girlfriend.

Sandy:
Don’t you love this new feature! Thanks for sending me a note this way, cause I did not see your comment to my comment! Wow do you have a family…love that you embarrass them! That is one of my favorite pastimes with my girl! I also LOVE to burst into song in the car, wherever, with her friends, etc..she acts like she doesn’t like it, but I know she loves having a mom who is not like the others. HA!
I’m hoping to give her memories that make her smile.
Thanks for the heads up on your book! Look forwarding to getting it signed someday!
Teresa
Thanks so much for you kind comment today. This community means so much to me, but sometimes I get overwhelmed making sure it stays up and running and everyone has a least someone listening. Thanks for understanding. Sometimes that is all we are looking forward is someone who gets it. ;-)
Sorry Sandy,it`s me again…
My sisters` oncologist said that it was fine for her to take the herbs I wrote about in one of the posts…She says the various mushrooms are good immune system helpers along with Astragalus..If you feel you may want to look into this,please ask your doctor if they approve of using these herbals..Sue
