life too short

be there, give advice and most importnantly PRAY for her~

- not there yet -

first three weeks we’re a breeze until we hit 4th week. she felt nauseous, blisters in her throat, mouth, and then when we hit the 5th week her skin broke open on the outside. from the bottom of her ears, to her chest. this is from june til july 9th 08

fatigue, nauseous, loss of hair, very very weak.

My worked in a nursing home that she worked for, for 7 years as a caregiver. they became like family to her, and I. ( i work there now) that they dedicated nursing home week to her and raised money for her. it was so unexpected but brought tears to our eyes.

Biography

hello everyone. I do not have cancer, but I just recently found out my bestfriend, my mother has it.Squamous Cell of the tonsil. stage 4. i’m very scared, and really don’t know what to expect. i’ve always donated money for cancer patients and done anything i could do help. but NEVER been in their shoes with someone THIS close me. so yep here we are.. so info about her – shes 46 years old, smoker basically her whole life, drank (not everyday), shes had AVS (something like a brain tumor back in 97 ) shes had two open heart surgery’s she was born with a hole in her heart. & had cervical cancer! why wont cancer leave us be?! for some reason this seems far worse then anything she’s experienced.
i know i’m gonne be her primary caregiver. shouldnt be hard for me considering i’m a certified nurses assisant and take care of cancer paients & deal with feeding tubes all day. but no. God. not her. not my mom. the only person i have to rely on. =(
i have no where to turn for support. and i need some positive feedback. reading other stories make me feel alot better. esp. survivor stories! i think this website will be a good help for me. im looking forward in meeting all of you – and im ready to take my step into this lonnng journey!
I will be keeping up to date with everyone – everyweek. i’m a computer junkie, so u’ll be seeing more of me.
