Live in the moment

Help me financially so that I can help others.

I found a pea size lump around Thanksgiving of 2007. No symptoms at all.

My Surgery was April 1 and April 3rd. Pretty easy. I was happy to see my breast had not changed because of surgery.

I officially start radiation tomorrow. I do like my Radiation Oncologist. He is pretty cool.

Because I was Her2+ my oncologist wanted me to have Chemo but my gut said NO! I believe in the power of my body then the Chemo drugs.

Because I didn’t have Chemo they won’t give me Herceptin. Politics. It hasn’t been approved by the FDA that way. Would love to meet other women who have bucked the system.

I bake cupcakes. I leave them on my friends doorsteps. They are beautiful and have helped me heal. I have received a few orders. I hope this continues because it will be a great way for me to take care of myself financially.

Biography

Hello,

I have always taken care of myself and my body. I have never smoked, use drugs or even stayed out late and partied. At the age of 43 I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. I was pretty shocked. I think I still am. I have decided that I want something really great to come out of this crappy situation. Two things. I am starting a cupcake bakery in Denver to help people remember the simpler times in life. I will be a very 1970’s inspired store and a place for people to hang out and re-connect. It will be full of love. I make chemo cakes for myself and heal from them. I believe our bodies are amazing and can heal anything. Secondly, I am starting a non-profit called SugarDaddy. SugarDaddy will raise money to help women who don’t have husbands to support them through their treatments. I will act as their surrogate hubby if they should need financial assistance. I will also have assembled a team of fabulous men from different occupations to help with financial planning or just mowing your lawn. Financially I am pretty wiped out from my diagnoses. It is very scary to be going through this alone. I don’t want anyone to ever have to worry fiancially because of there diagnoses.
