I’m 51 years old. I’ve been a nurse for 30 years. I was married for 24 years and divorced about four years ago. I have a large supportive family.

Cancer Symptoms

Fatigue for a couple of weeks then a swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck. Low grade temp. Thought I had come down with a virus. A few weeks later, a couple more lymph nodes popped up on the right side of my neck.

Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects

Surgical biopsy of lymph nodes July 21, 2011. Surgical biopsy of tonsil July 27, 2011. Peg tube placement August 2, 2011

Radiation or Proton Therapy Description, Dates & Side Effects

Radiation therapy started August 8th. IMRT 7 weeks 5 days a week.

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects

Chemotherapy Cisplatin. Vomiting started the first day of chemo and stopped two weeks after treatment complete (9 weeks of vomiting & vomiting).
