From what I can tell Assefa is not real. The photos that this Assefa character posted of them self are actually photos of singer Mayaenni and a person named Chrys Wandje. The person who perpetrated this hoax is horrible and should feel ashamed they also committed a crime by defrauding someone across state lines of $5000 claiming that it was to help them.

I’m sorry if this revelation has caused any of you distress because you are good people who have been through so much and have opened your hearts to this person. As I find out more information I will keep you apprised.

I found this blog and this seems like it is Assefa! There is a gentlemen on there who mentions her name and she also talks about her husband passing from cancer and the pics look like her!

It seems as if she has made a FULL recovery and is even up and about doing photoshoots!

I don’t see any mention of her cancer however, so that is a little weird – but all in all it seems like she is doing great!
