Biography

David is 39years old. He was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer 2/2/11. Secondary to his condition he lost his job and went on social security. We have three boys at home 13, 10 and 6 and two children another son who is 20 and a daughter who is 19 who live on their own. Of course his diagnosis and treatment has been a life changing experience. His primary tumor is lodged in his pelvis and inoperable. He has mets to the lymphatic system, multiple liver tumors and a lung nodule which came up after beginning chemo. He is on round three of chemotherapy. Fortunately his pain has mostly diminished following reduction in the size of his primary tumor. I wish there was more awareness and discussion for people about the symptoms of colon cancer. Early detection is the key to greater success. We are greatful for the time that we have to be together.
